摘要
It is well-known that the potential of solar energy in Indonesia is very high due to the location which is on the equator. The potential of solar energy based on the National Energy Council reaches 4.8-kilowatt-hours per square meter per day (kWH/m(2)/day). Therefore, portable solar power plants using photovoltaic have high possibility to be used as electricity sources in remote areas or as alternative energy when earthquakes and tsunamis occur. In this paper, the development of portable solar power plant is proposed with the capability to be connected to internet of things (IoT). The design specification of proposed portable solar power plant will depend on the electricity power required by the equipments. The use of components for realizing the proposed portable solar power plant must support the portability aspect. The realized portable solar power plant equipped with IoT connectability has demonstrated the output AC voltage of 224V at the frequency of 49.9Hz satisfying the electricity needs in remote areas or disaster-prone areas.
