摘要
This extended abstract suggests that Knowledge Management is a set of organisationally specified processes for acquiring, organising and communicating knowledge to support people in their knowledge work activities. Knowledge Management Systems are interpreted as Knowledge Work Support Systems specifically designed to support knowledge work, especially its non-routine aspects. Knowledge Work Support Systems are activity-specific, community specific and adapted to the expertise (body of knowledge and skills) of its community of users. The extended abstract also discusses briefly some implications of the proposed view of Knowledge Management Systems.
