摘要
Multilevel transmission of the CMOS image sensorbased visible light communication to improve the data capacity causes some problems, such as increasing the transmitter (Tx) complexity, indicating the nonlinearity at Tx, and creating the requirement for a precise thresholding method in the receiver. We propose an optical pulse width modulated multilevel transmission scheme based on binary-level signaling in the Tx to relax these problems. We experimentally demonstrated nine kbps error-free light-emitting diodes visible light wireless transmission using a CMOS image sensor and binary-level Tx in the proposed schemes.
