摘要
Optical and dielectric properties of two liquid crystals, the well-known PCB and the equimolar mixture (1:1) of Demus esters (DE), have been investigated. A semi-empirical method(1,2) to determine the liquid crystal-substrate interaction potential has been employed. By applying the self-consistent director field method and the effective electric permittivity measurements(3) the liquid crystal-substrate interaction potential values have been estimated.
