Citizens in the South East Asia (SEA) region are active on the Internet. Some information on general online health information searching behaviour in the SEA region is known. However, not much is known about the doctor patient communication of health information found online. In this study, 50 participants who have performed an online health search were interviewed. Participants were asked to describe the doctor-patient communication process of having looked up information online. Preliminary results indicate participants who spoke to the doctor about information found online fell into the elementary or guarded category. Participants who did not talk about information found took an unreceptive approach. Results of this study provide theoretical information to advance the field of information science in the SEA region.
