摘要
Internet of things (IoT) devices are usually unable to run a full blockchain node or even a blockchain Software Development Kit (SDK) client due to limited hardware resources. To let IoT devices be able to securely connect to blockchain services, a design based on blockchain SDK proxy node is proposed. The blockchain SDK proxy node runs the blockchain SDK client. IoT devices just need to construct and sign the blockchain transactions, then send the signed data through Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) provided by the proxy node. The proxy node forwards the data to the blockchain network. However, a static proxy node will become the single point of performance bottleneck and failure, which is vulnerable for DDoS attacks. To further improve the security, a mechanism of dynamically selecting a proxy node is designed to make IoT devices access to blockchain services safely and efficiently.
