摘要
Michele BAUSSANT Objects with a history for a space with no memory. Pilgrims from Oran to Nimes What role can one assign to a statue of the Virgin repatriated from Algeria in 1965? What part did objects of worship have to play in the recreation of an Algerian Marian sanctuary in France? Our purpose here is to try and understand how in a population displaced from Algeria to France, including people of Spanish origin, such objects could provide a means of (re)constructing a history and a space that were considered lost. Like a material trace of the past in the present, they effectively represent a way of reliving social ties far from Algeria.
