Understanding confinement from deconfinement

摘要
We show that a dual SU(N) effective theory of the confined phase of SU(N) Yang-Mills theory can be used in the temperature interval T-c < T < 4T(c) to calculate non-perturbative magnetic properties of the deconfined phase, including the magnetic screening mass and the spatial string tension. We suggest that evidence for the quanta of the effective theory should be sought in analyses of both lattice simulations of Yang-Mills theory and experiments on heavy ion collisions.
