Dielectric properties of aqueous potassium propionate solutions from 288 to 308 K

摘要
The complex dielectric constant of aqueous potassium propionate, solutions including high-concentration solutions (6.65 mol/ko H2O) has been investigated from 288 to 308 K in the microwave range (range of the maximum water dispersion at frequencies of 10.25-25 GHz). The static dielectric constant epsilon(s) of C potassium propionate solutions has been studied as a function of temperature or concentration. The time tau and activation parameters (DeltaH(epsilon)(++) DeltaG(epsilon)(++) TDeltaS(epsilon)(++)) of dielectric relaxation in solution have been calculated. F C2H5COO- ions have been shown to have a structuring effect on the hydrogen-bond network of water. Hydrophobic hydration of propionate ions has been found.
