摘要
This paper proposes a winding condition monitoring scheme for inverter-fed permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) based on high frequency (HF) current injection. With the introduction of specific HF current regulator, HF current can be injected into two phases of the stator windings. And the corresponding HF component of the line control voltage between the two phases is extracted to determine whether there is an inter-turn short-circuit fault. After monitoring different winding pairs alternately, inter-turn short fault can be detected and the faulty phase can be located. The proposed method has high sensitivity to the inter-turn short fault and is able to eliminate the effect of working conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by simulations.
