Reported are the results of an experimental and analytical (simulation) study on a thermoelectric rem frigeration system employing two two-phase loop thermosyphons. The experimental results show that a-heat transfer rates of up to about 2 W/degreesC m(2) (the area based on the outside heat transfer area of the condenser sections) or about 5400 W/degreesC m(2) (the area based on the heat-transfer area of the Peltier element) at the average air temperature of the refrigerator of -4.6degreesC, with an ambient outside air temperature of 25degreesC, can be attainable under the forced convection heat transfer at the finned evaporator and condenser sections.
