摘要
A porphyrin-based water-soluble fluorescent probe was reported for ratiometric detection of cadmium ion (Cd2+) in aqueous solution. This probe bearing two 2,2'-dipyridylamine (DPA) groups as metal chelating moieties which show chelation-produced ratiometric fluorescence effect with Cd2+ via the interruption of intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) process. Exhibiting a large ratiometric fluorescence signal, the probe shows high sensitivity, high selectivity as well as quick response when detecting Cd2+ in the physiological pH window with a detection limit of part per billion (ppb) level. Moreover, it displays very low cytotoxicity and can be employed to visualize intracellular Cd2+ in living cells by utilizing laser scanning confocal microscopy. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd.
