摘要：
Geologic and climatic conditions posed significant obstacles to the widening of a section of the scenic Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire. Conventional grade separation structures were not feasible, due to identified global slope stability problems. A permanent soil nail wall was designed to provide both the required grade separation and in-situ reinforcement of the hillside soils behind the wall. This paper discusses the design analyses, design features and construction aspects of the permanent soil nail wall system.
