摘要
The kinetics of oxidation of crotonaldehyde by tetraethylammonium chlorochromate (TEACC) in aqueous acetic acid (50% v/v) medium has been studied. The reaction is first order each in [TEACC] and the [Substrate]. The reaction is catalysed by hydrogen ions and a medium of low dielectric constant favours the oxidation process. Ionic strength variation has not an effect on the reaction rate. The reaction does no induce polymerisation of acrylonitrile. Activation and thermodynamic parameters have been computed. A rnechanisin consistent with kinetic data has been proposed.
