摘要
Using various Raman geometries, we have unambiguously determined the 8 A(1) modes and the 17 doubly degenerate infrared-active E modes predicted by the factor group analysis. The LO-TO splitting is given for the major part of the degenerate E modes. The temperature dependence of some Raman shifts and linewidths in GaPO4 have been measured. in the temperature range 6K-300K and compared to the temperature evolution of corresponding modes in alpha-quartz.
