Non-linear analysis of short rigid piles under complex loading conditions

摘要：
This paper presents a method for the prediction of the interaction of a short rigid pile in a non-linear layered ground submitted to vertical, horizontal and moment loading. This method is based on Winkler's equation, with an explicit expression of the contact pressure of the soil and the pile. It was derived from the analysis of numerous loading tests on instrumented piles and has been checked against loading tests performed on fullscale piles.
