摘要
This paper represents the position control of a DC motor using Fractional-order PID controller. DC motor has wide applications in industries and other fields of control theory. Concept of fractional calculus has been presented in this paper. The mathematical description of FOPID controller is described. A special toolbox named FOMCON for simulation in MATLAB has been studied here. An example of simulation using fractional-order PID controller along with integer-order PID controller has performed and comparative study has been done with simulation result.
