摘要
In the self-assembly processes of supramolecular complexes, non-covalent forces endow a significant contribution. Recently, halogen bonding interactions have also been exploited as a tool in in designing supramolecular structures. With the propose of exploring halogen bonding interactions, two Cu(II) complexes denoted as [Cu-2(ipydc)(2)(bipy)(H2O)(2)][(H2O)(2)] (1), and [Cu(ipydc)(bipy)](n) (2), have been synthesized using 4-iodopyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and 4,4 '-bipyridine mixed ligands. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that 1 can be described as a discrete metal complex and 2 can be described as a one-dimensional coordination polymer. These two complexes are further connected by intermolecular noncovalent interactions, giving rise to 3D supramolecular architectures, respectively. [GRAPHICS] .
