The editing software of the 'Kolner Ausgabe' of Heinrich Boll's works. A project description

More than any other author, Heinrich Boll (1917-1985) represents the post-war German literature of the last century. The 27 volumes of the Kolner Ausgabe, whose publication started in 2002, will include his complete writings; its termination is scheduled for 2010. The rapid publication - rapid in relation to other historical-critical editions of this size - is only possible by the efficient use of various editing tools, in part specifically developed for this edition. The present paper describes and illustrates these tools.
