Jejunal lipoma as a source of gastrointestinal bleeding

摘要：
A 56-year-old man with known cirrhosis had gastrointestinal bleeding. Gastric aspiration did not reveal the presence of blood. A bleeding study (Tc-99m pyrophosphate red blood cells) showed an immediate and persistent blush in the upper abdomen and evidence of active gastrointestinal bleeding. At surgery, a bleeding site was identified in an intrajejunal mass. The mass proved to be a lipoma. A literature review of four series of gastrointestinal lipomas (102 cases) did not identify any as originating within the jejunum.
