Improving quality factor of Mg2SnO4 ceramics by removing moisture content from starting raw materials

摘要
The effect of removing moisture content in starting raw materials on the microwave dielectric properties of Mg2SnO4 ceramics was investigated. Mg2SnO4 ceramics were prepared using a conventional solid-state method. A maximum density of 4.62 g/cm(3), a dielectric constant (epsilon(r)) of 8.2, a quality factor (Qxf) of 59,000 GHz, and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (tau(f)) of -64 ppm/degrees C were obtained when Mg2SnO4 ceramics were sintered at 1550 degrees C for 4 h.
