摘要
A VR environment, so-callled Haptic Fish Tank VR, that includes a mirror to let users place their hand in the workspace with the virtual objects was designed and experimentally studied. In the first set of experiments, the state-surface technique was compared with reasonable alternatives using menus. Three interfaces were considered: menu and button with no surface force; menu and button with surface force; and state surface with no button. Based on the results, the interface was redesigned. In the second set of experiments, four interfaces were compared. Interfaces 1, 2 and 3 were the same as for the first experiments, however, the state-surface interaction included refinements. Analysis of the data revealed that in the haptic environment interactions with 3D objects were more fluid and natural.
