摘要
A study was conducted to investigate the use of high-pressure liquid chromatography (LC) in lab-on-a-chip devices. The use of high-pressure liquid chromatography was effective in generating significant analyses, enabling a variety of of chip morphologies to be designed to conduct chemical reaction, mixing, and multidimensional separations. The use of high-pressure liquid chromatography in lab--on-a-chip devices included, the integration of individual operations, such as reaction, preconcentration, and separation in mass-produced, low-cost devices, and automation. The microchip was also hydraulically interfaced with a nano-LC high-pressure pump and an autosampler through a face-seal rotary valve, to perform regular analysis up to 150 bar. The rotary valve provided a means for switching between sample loading and separation configurations, with minimum dead and delay volumes, while allowing high-pressure operation.
