Analysis of power system fault signals based on matrix pencil method

摘要
A power system short-circuit fault signal contains decaying aperiodic and non-integer harmonics components, which are difficult to be accurately analyzed by discrete Fourier transform. In this paper, the noisy fault signal is filtered and analyzed by the matrix pencil method, and the simulation was carried out in the Matlab environment. The simulation results show that the fundamental component, decaying aperiodic and non-integer harmonics components can be accurately analyzed by the matrix pencil method in the case of a fault signal with noise. Collectively, this helps to better analyze the impact of the transient component on relay.
