The results of an investigation of the characteristics of three-mirror optical system without screening, patented by the S. I. Vavilov State Optics Institute, are presented. A method for calculating the system making it possible to calculate structural elements with prescribed focal length, rear segment, and f-number is presented. (C) 2010 Optical Society of America.
