Tissue-resident innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) perform diverse roles in regulating mucosal homeostasis and inflammation. The transdifferentiation of ILC2s into interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma)-producing ILC1-like cells generates a highly inflammatory immune cell.
