A Novel DC-DC Boost Converter Using Capacitor Multiplier for Renewable Energy Applications

摘要
Because of many features of boost converters, its applications in industries are not negligible. This paper proposes a new high gain dc/dc converter for renewable energy systems. The concept is to utilize two inductors and a capacitors multiplier which uses capacitor charging technique. The proposed structure provides high voltage gain by using an inductor without high duty cycle. Meanwhile, the main switch is placed in series with the source and it can control the flow of energy from source to the load. The operating principles and steady state analysis of the proposed converter are discussed in details. Finally, its performance is verified by simulation results in PSCAD/EMTDC.
