摘要
In the present paper, a full-scale numerical simulation of an airlift loop reactor with gas distributor was carried out. The standard k - epsilon turbulence model and Euler multiphase flow model were used to simulate gas-liquid two-phase turbulent flow in the reactor. All details of gas hold up and velocities distribution anywhere in the reactor were obtained. It was confirmed that the flow inside of draft tube was not plug flow. Eddies and reversed flow were found in it. They affect greatly gas hold up distribution and the contact of gas and liquid, which influence the reacting process.. The computing results were compared with experimental data on global gas hold up and the agreement was found rather satisfactory.
