摘要：

Micas are used in the insulation systems of high-power rotating machines. The two forms of mica most commonly used are muscovite and phlogopite. Micas possess a combination of chemical, physical, electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties not found in any other product and this has made them an important component of high voltage insulation systems. These different properties are discussed.
