摘要
Nanocomposite samples were prepared by introducing nanographite as reinforcing filler in oil-extended ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) matrix and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to evaluate the morphology and degree of dispersion. The effects of nanographite concentration on mechanical properties of EPDM nanocomposites have been studied. Electrical properties of EPDM/nanographite nanocomposites have also been studied as a function of frequency (0.1-10(5) Hz) and nanofiller concentrations. Percolation theory has been used to study the frequency dependent alternating current (AC) conductivity. The study shows percolation threshold near 4% nanographite concentration in oil-extended EPDM elastomer. (c) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
