摘要
In this paper, the concept of filtering leaky-wave antenna (FLWA) is introduced and demonstrated. First of all, the state of the art of filtering antenna techniques is briefly described. This is followed by the proposed concept of FLWAs with focus on its composition principles, design considerations, and especially multifunction characteristics. Finally, a practical FLWA example is examined and demonstrated, simultaneously exhibiting both high frequency-selectivity and rapid beam-scanning behaviors.
