Rapid identification of traditional Chinese medicine formula particles by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy

摘要
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula particles and their supplementary materials were studied via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). It can be seen from the spectra that the formula particles from different pharmaceutical factories have great disparity in the contents and sorts of supplementary materials. The spectra could be assigned directly when the formula particles have lower contents of supplementary materials; whereas the contents higher, difference technology could be used to improve the resolution. Thus the TCM formula particles could be identified one by one. It is proved that FTIR is an easy, fast, reliable and impelling method in the quality control of TCM formula particles.
