摘要
In this article, a method for calculating the circuit parameters (without using experimental validation results) for an existing fuse model is discussed. The main feature of such characterization procedure is the timeless effort that supports the project designer in incorporating into the protection study the current-limiting phenomena. A convenient study case is carried out focusing the selectivity analysis in a research boat with a dc microgrid system. The proposed model is included in the network time-domain modeling, and the simulation outcomes are compared with the fuse coordination analysis through time-current curves. The entire investigation is performed observing the compliance with ship classification society requirements for dc power distribution systems.
