Arc Generation Detection Analysis of Smart Grid System Using a New Arc Detection Sensor of Current Measurement

摘要
As interest in DC power is increased, the industry related to DC has grown rapidly, and interest in DC fire and preventive measures has increased. Especially an Arc that can cause a direct fire by releasing the induced light and heat has been pointed out as one of the causes of fires. The problem of such Arc defects is that the existing overcurrent circuit breaker and earth leakage circuit breaker cannot prevent Arc accidents in advance. Accordingly, research on detecting Arc accidents by analyzing the frequency information of the generated Arc in the DC power generation system is being conducted. However, the frequency domain analysis method for the Arc signal has a problem. Therefore, in this paper, a method for detecting an Arc signal and accurately analyzing the time of an Arc accident by detecting the current was studied. Also, we developed a new current sensor that can detect Arc signals using the Rogowski coils method, and designed a signal conversion circuit to detect the sensor's output signal. In addition, we developed a DC Arc generator test equipment that satisfies the UL1699B standard and compared and analyzed the characteristics of the new current sensor proposed in this paper and the conventional CT according to the signal detection in case of Arc occurrence.
