摘要
In recent years, brushless DC machines (BLDCM) have seen an increase in popularity due to their higher power density and efficiency than conventional induction motors. This coupled with their lower maintenance has seen it as viable option for multiple electric machinery. However, these types of motors exhibit high torque ripple, causing inaccuracies where required. Multiple solutions have been proposed to combat this in both motoring and generation modes, with limited success as a generator. This paper is concerned with the development of a control technique during regenerative braking with an objective of reducing the torque ripple. Preliminary simulation results show that the proposed method can match traditional methods, without knowledge of the commutation states. A dSPACE based experimental set up will be used to validate the technique.
