As the primary system in Telecommunication Industry, Business & Operation Support System (BOSS) has been built in a large scale by mobile operators for few years. However, there has not been a perfect index system which can evaluate the BOSS in full aspects. In addition, mobile operators are accustomed to using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the index weight. This method, however, will become too complex and costly with the increasing scale of index system. Considering the specialty of Telecommunication Industry and the former research at the realm of system evaluation, this paper will summarize the BOSS-evaluating index system; besides, it will probe into the application of BP neural network in BOSS evaluation, trying to propose a solution that could overcome the complexity during the system evaluation process in Telecommunication Industry.
