Compensation of Detent Torque in Microstepping of Linear Permanent Magnet Stepping Motors

摘要
This paper introduces a mathematical model and a simulator for a permanent magnet stepping motor. The model considers the nonlinearity caused by detent torque. Measurements of real stepping motors have indicated oscillations in micro stepping operation when a simple feedback control is used. The main goal is to find and simulate how detent torque makes linear actuator behave non-linearly in micro stepping operation. The model is also used in the development of control structure for accurate micro stepping function.
