摘要
An overview is given on the origins for the occurring type of rafting and the consequences for subsurface rafting in turbine blades during service. It is shown that rafts aligned more or less parallel to the surface of monocrystalline nickel-base superalloys can be induced by shot peening and subsequent high-temperature ageing. Anomalous rafting in turbine blades occurring during service may be caused by mechanical machining of the surface before the coating procedure.
