摘要
The design of a high compression ratio electron gun has been discussed, which is intended for a 0.22 THz traveling wave tube amplifier. The circular beam electron gun is simulated by means of CST particle studio to determine the electron beam trajectory. The simulation results predict that the designed electron gun produces a circular beam with the waist radius of 0.054 mm, corresponding to the beam voltage of 21.3 kV and the beam current of 61.5 mA.
