摘要
Video communication through wireless channel has always been a challenging issue. Transmitting the compressed video through erroneous channel may lead to packet loss, eventually degrading the image quality. Thus an error detection and concealment scheme is applied at the decoder. This paper presents the error detection and concealment technique. The research work includes the spatio-temporal error detection which is combined with different error concealment methods such as copy paste, Block Matching Algorithm and Boundary Matching Algorithm ( BMA). The paper presents the comparison of different existing error concealment methods which is combined with spatio temporal error detection. The spatio-temporal error detection method improves the error detection probability and the Error Concealment method improves visual quality of reconstructed video and reduces retransmission delay.
