摘要
Nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) is one of the most effective materials for environmental restoration. However, nZVI particles is liable to aggregate and passivate rapidly, which leads to a decline its effectiveness in contaminant treatment. In this study, an efficient nanomaterial has been developed for decolourisation and degradation of a metal complex dye Naphthol Green B (NGB). To protect nZVI and enhance the removal efficiency that was modified with chitosan (CS) and attapulgite (APT). The removal of NGB as a function of pH, reaction time, adsorbent dosage and initial concentration were studied. The nZVI/CS/APT had best removal efficiency of NGB due to the excellent synergistic combination of CS/APT adsorption and nZVI reduction. And the nZVI/CS/APT possessed fast adsorption kinetics and the maximum adsorption capacity for NGB could reach 192.30 mg/g. The outstanding performance of nZVI/CS/APT provide promising material for detoxification contaminant from wastewater.
