摘要
High purity samples of bulk Fe16N2 were prepared by nitrogenizing Fe ultrafine particles at 110 degreesC for 10 days. The crystal structure of iron nitride Fe16N2 was refined by the Rietveld analysis of powder X-ray diffraction pattern, and found to be analogous to a previously reported structure proposal. However, the positions of iron atoms are different for the both models. It is clearly indicates that all theorists should make a thorough revision of previous theoretical study based on old structural model.
