摘要：
Elastic properties and their pressure dependence of Ar are calculated using the many body potential. The second order elastic constants, Cauchy's deviation and Zener anisotropy ratio are investigated as a function of pressure up to 75 GPa. The variation of pressure derivative of bulk and shear moduli with pressure are also computed for the first time. The computed results are fairly in agreement with the experimental results.
