摘要：

This article presents the case of a 23-year-old patient suffering from severe central pulmonary artery embolism. After pulmonary artery embolectomy, the use of veno-arterial life support (VA-ECMO) was necessary because of a life-threating heart-failure. The infestation with ascariasis was diagnosed during the placement of a naso-jejunal tube on ICU. As a consequence, we discussed the possibility of the seldom case of pulmonary embolisation due to ascariasis.
