摘要
The procedure of preliminary blasting of the surface of products with a flow of particles (sand, slag, or shot) improves the quality of the surface and increases the level of adhesion of protective coatings. The influence of preliminary blasting on the surface topography of products is investigated. It is shown that the topography of the surface is determined by the nature and sizes of particles, their velocity, and hardness. The optimal roughness parameters (primary profile parameter, roughness profile parameter, and waviness profile parameter) specifying the characteristic features of the influence of preliminary blasting with a flow of particles on the geometry of the surface are proposed with an aim to get the best possible effect under the operating conditions. These parameters take into account not only the character of the surface topography in the vertical direction but also the influence of the properties of particles.
