摘要
The set of equations modeling a steady-state dissolution of passivated metals is solved. The model accounts for a kinetic-electrostatic self-controlling mechanism of processes in the system metal-passivating film-adsorption layer-electrolyte. As the solution shows, the metal dissolution rate is determined equally by processes in the film and the adsorption layer. It is predicted that the concentration and charge of nonadsorbed ions can affect the dissolution rate.
