摘要
The effect of strain history during hot rolling of stainless steel has been studied. The 'strain path' effect of the shearing in the surface region of the section can give rise to differences in the recrystallisation kinetics in this region compared to that at the centre of the section. The magnitude of the shear effect is different depending on the rolling schedule with an increase in the shearing on a forward/forward pass design compared with that of a forward/reverse. This difference in the recrystallisation kinetics is due to the stored energy in the system i.e. changes in the dislocation density inside the sub-grain structure formed during deformation.
