摘要
A wideband and low-profile magneto-electric (ME) dipole antenna with a two-stage meandering via and a novel shorting pin is presented for 5G mmWave applications. The two-stage meandering via is designed to compensate the small phase difference between radiation apertures when thin substrate is used. The thickness of proposed antenna can be reduced from 0.25 lambda(0) to 0.06 lambda(0) by using the two-stage meandering via. The shorting pin functions as a third mode excitation, which can enhance the impedance bandwidth of proposed antenna from 23% to 40.6%. The dimension of the proposed antenna is only 0.37 x 0.37 x 0.06 lambda(3)(0).
