Education, research, and technology transfer at the department of chemistry at the HTA Chur

The HTA Chur is the only University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland to offer an evening course in chemistry at this level. As teachers and students work during the day in the industry, they can transfer the knowledge gained directly to their companies. Education and applied research and development is concentrated in the fields of polymer chemistry and chemical process engineering. Efforts in the fields of technology transfer and R+D have been intensified since January 2000 by the foundation of a new institute (IFTW). A full-time scientist has been employed for a major research project together with the industry and partly financed by the KTI.
