摘要
Performing wideband spectrum sensing efficiently and fast is an important requirement of cognitive radio networks. For easier sampling and processing of wideband frequencies, sub-Nyquist schemes are used. In this paper, an attempt is made to reduce misdetections with sub-Nyquist spectrum sensing using the modulated wideband converter (MWC). The misdetections are reduced using two methods, namely information theoretic criteria and adaptive threshold based energy detection. Simulations show that the proposed techniques reduce the number of misdetections and improve spectrum utilisation.
